Thursday, November 7th, 1:00 pm - Join STL Village members and friends for "Kernels of Culture: Maize Around the World" at the Stephen and Peter Sachs Museum. The exhibit highlights the significant role maize has played in agriculture, scientific development, and culture. It explores many aspects of botany, history, evolution, culture, and importance to the world. It also examines maize's cultural impact by featuring historical objects and stories from diverse communities, including Black and Indigenous farmers, whiskey distillers, jewelry makers, and over 200 local student artists.
Lunch at Sassafras Restaurant is optional after the tour. Free with Garden membership, $4.00 for non-members.
